Active Carbon Filters Ltd designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of activated carbon products for the filtration of gaseous contaminaints and odours from the air. Applications include general HVAC systems, such as in museums, through to specialist equipment such as laser/solder fume removal, fume cupboards, medical and health & safety applications, and sewerage and liquid odour control.
Using this Website
Identifying the type of contaminant that needs to be removed is the first step in designing an activated carbon filter, although the environment in which the filter is to be used may indicate what is required. A Contaminants List appears under Testing & Certification.
Once it is known what type of carbon to use, it is then a case of determining the format, although this may already be determined by the application, e.g. solder-fume removal. Products then break down into filter types, applications, and housings available.
